Now entering its 9th year, Canada's Top 100 Employers is an annual competition to recognize Canada's best places to work. Our project aims to identify the companies and organizations that lead their industries in attracting and retaining employees. The Globe and Mail calls our competition "an instant bible for HR professionals and job-seekers". More reviews»

Each fall, winners are announced in special issue of Maclean's magazine. Our publishing firm, Mediacorp Canada Inc., manages the competition and selection process, publishing detailed reasons for each employer's selection online. This year, our editors reviewed the recruitment histories of more than 71,000 employers across Canada and invited roughly one-third of these to apply.

Our editors also manage a series of popular regional "top employer" competitions with 22 newspapers and magazines, which announce the winners in extended editorial features each fall. We also manage the Financial Post's Ten Best Companies to Work For competition, recognizing great employers that are exceptional business success stories. In addition, our editors manage a series of special-interest "top employer" competitions focusing on family-friendly workplaces, younger and older workers, recent immigrants, workplace diversity and environmental values.

We have an exclusive editorial partnership with Canadian HR Reporter, the leading industry magazine for human resource professionals. Each fall, the magazine publishes a special issue on the HR stories that set the "Top 100" employers apart.

A blue-ribbon academic Advisory Board oversees the selection criteria for each year's competition. The distinguished panel members, drawn from universities across Canada, have each written or edited a major HR textbook in Canada.

Each spring, we host a unique policy-oriented conference that brings together everyone who works on the Canada's Top 100 Employers project. The conference explores topics related to the competition in a non-commercial format and is Canada's largest annual event for senior-level HR professionals.
