Welcome to Canada's Top 100 Employers
The Annual Guide to Canada's Best Places to Work
Now in its 10th year, Canada's Top 100 Employers is an annual competition to recognize Canada's best places to work. Our project aims to identify the companies and organizations that lead their industries in attracting and retaining employees. The Globe and Mail calls our competition "an instant bible for HR professionals and job-seekers". More reviews» Our national winners are announced in special editorial supplements published by Maclean's and The Globe and Mail, with detailed Reasons for Selection published exclusively on our job search engine, Eluta.ca. Each year, our editorial team writes over 200,000 words explaining why each of the winning employers was chosen, providing transparency as well as guidance to employers and job-seekers alike. This year, our editors reviewed the recruitment histories of more than 75,000 employers across Canada and invited 16,000 of these to apply. Our editors also manage a series of well-known regional "top employer" competitions with 22 newspapers and magazines, which announce the winners in extended editorial features each fall. We also manage the Financial Post's Ten Best Companies to Work For competition, recognizing great employers that are exceptional business success stories. In addition, our editors manage six special-interest competitions recognizing the nation's best employers for family-friendly workplaces, diversity, environmental values, recent immigrants, young people and older Canadians. A blue-ribbon academic Advisory Board oversees the selection criteria for each year's competition. The distinguished panel members, drawn from universities across Canada, have each written or edited a major HR textbook in Canada. Each year, we host a unique policy-oriented conference that brings together everyone who works on the Canada's Top 100 Employers project. The conference explores topics related to the competition in a non-commercial format and is Canada's largest annual event for senior-level HR professionals. This year's event takes place November 1-2, 2010 in Toronto. |
